DementiaSA facilitates support groups led by trained volunteers where family members, care givers, nurses and others can learn and support each other. DementiaSA runs a 24 hour helpline 365 days a year and employs 2 social workers.

Due to COVID 19, we have moved our support group to a VIRTUAL platform on ZOOM.
The Virtual Support Group (VSG) is held each Thursday from 1pm – 2pm.
Membership is per email only and added to a WhatsApp group. Email info@dementiasa.org with details.
No cost involved, but DONATIONS are very welcome.

Our social worker is well respected, highly trained and experienced with older persons speaking English, Afrikaans and isi-Xhosa.
She is equipped to assist with complex cases where expert interventions are required and investigate reports of elder abuse.
